Franz Josef to Wanaka

Today the weather is beautiful as we drive to Wanaka.

Lake Matheson is known for its reflecting qualities on a clear sunny day.

We spotted this colourful bird on our 35 min. walk to the lake.  I believe it’s the Takahe which is native to New Zealand and currently listed as endangered.



It surely didn’t disappoint.
