A day trip to Akaroa

Today we catch a bus that will take us to the coastal town of Akaroa.  It’s about 2 hours from Christchurch.

Beautiful views on our way.

Always lots of sheep grazing.

Treating ourselves to lunch at a nice restaurant.

This area was settled by the English and French in the late 1800’s after the treaty was signed with the Māori in 1840.

















This was such a fun place.  Amazing art and gardens!
