Exploring Sydney

Off walking in the morning and we’re heading to Hyde Park.  There is an amazing War Memorial there.  Really well done.

We arrived just before 11 am and there was a brief morning prayer and minute of silence in honour of the fallen soldiers.

We then head into Hyde Park and discover Captain Cook.

The trees are amazing.  Gorgeous trees all over Sydney.

St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Then off to the Art Museum...didn’t spend too much time there...just got a quick look.

These are totems in the Aboriginal area of the art museum

Off to the botanical gardens.

The fernery... amazing ferns!

We visited the display of carnivorous plants.

Venus fly trap

Another “killer”

Back to pretty things...

Doesn’t this tree look like it could come alive?  Something out of Alice in Wonderland?
