Wednesday.....Shopping in Sneem

Well the weather has changed!  I really can't complain as we have had glorious sunshine since I arrived in Ireland.  This morning we wake to gusting winds, grey skies and rain.  It gives us an excuse to sleep in and read in bed.  Mary makes coffee with Irish Cream (we're talking Baileys here, not milk!) and we read in bed while sipping our coffee.  Glorious!  Around 11 we decide we should get mobile.  So glad we went to Dingle yesterday while the weather was good as the views of the sea were amazing and today it's socked in.

After breakfast we decide to go to the village of Sneem.  It is only a 20 minute drive.

Lots of tour buses in the afternoon but when we arrive it's fairly quiet.  We shop for an hour or two and then pick a pub for lunch.  We've been having our main meal in the afternoon and it's been working well.  The meals are substantial and add a pint of ale and I'm so full I don't need much in the evening.

Quite picturesque!

It's quite pleasant out.  The rain has stopped and it's still 21 degrees out so very pleasant.  Bought a few gifts and then it's time to get back to Caherdaniel.  We were looking for the Community Hall as we have discovered that this Friday night is culture night and they have a great display of music, singing and dancing.  So looking forward to it.  That is if we find the hall.  Apparently it's not marked.  In these small villages everyone just seems to know.  When we ask where it is you're told "ach, just around the bend, you know?  The wee yellow building next to the church.  Can't miss it". Oh yeah?
