On my way...

Since I had an early morning flight (6 am) I decided to stay at the Days Inn out by the airport.  After checking in Sue and I decided to check out the high end shopping mall at the airport.  Quite nice...lots of selection but a few stores were out of my price range.  I did manage to find a cute summer dress on sale and Sue found a blouse so we felt we had accomplished something.  We then had dinner at a fantastic restaurant in the mall called Bibo Pizzeria.  Authentically Italian.  Great food, great service.  And the wine!  Magnifico!

Our amazing desert!  We shared but I could have easily eaten one on my own.  Now it's off to bed as 3:30 am comes too soon!

Foot Stomping good time!

We celebrated St. Patrick's day at the Blue Frog Studio in White Rock.  The Pat Chessell band was playing some great Irish music and the fiddle player Andrea Taylor was awesome.  She even jumped on to one of the tables while playing which isn't something you see too often in White Rock!  The Guiness went down really well and we had a great time.

Face Time from Uganda!

I got the surprise of my life when I answered the phone and discovered I was doing Face Time with Sam in Uganda!  Sam is the 6 yr.old that I sponsor at Jaaja Barb's Home of Angels.  I had sent some money with Barb (founder of Home of Angels) to buy Sam something for Xmas.  Sam asked if he could buy orange crush and pineapple to share with all the other children!  That is what he wanted.  

This was a great treat for the children.  I get so much pleasure from these children and 100% of a sponsor's money goes to the children.  What a worth cause. Check it out jaajabarbshomeofangels.blogspot.ca
