Wednesday it's Dublin

Today we're off to Dublin.  We have tickets to the Abbey Theatre.  We are to see the production Hearbreak House at 7:30 so we thought we would spend the day in Dublin prior to the show.

We take the bus in which takes approx. an hour.  We get our bearings and head to Grafton Street.

We are looking for Bewley's which is a great coffee shop.

Mary wants to buy some coffee to take home and we will have a cup while we're there.  Great place.  We have scones with our coffee.
After that we decide to locate the theatre so we will know how far it is.  Just over the O'Connnor Bridge in the Temple Bar district we locate the theatre.  We then decide to take the river cruise on the Liffey River but unfortunately it's all sold out.  Who would know its that popular.  Oh well, perhaps next time I'm in Dublin.

We then find a nice place for lunch and sit by an open window overlooking the road and the Liffey.

We walk over to see Dublin Castle but it's closing for the day.  We're not having much luck so we check out more shops and then back to Bewley's for a coffee before heading to the theatre.  It's a small, cozy theatre and we have great seats courtesy of Mandy.  Mandy does costumes at the theatre. The show doesn't end until 10:15 and then it's an hour back to Shankill on the bus.  We're knackered!
