Goodbye Shankill

Our last day in Shankill we spent doing some local stuff.  Getting ready to leave and continue our adventures.

Walked the dogs on the greens, lunch at the local pub.  These carvery meals they have is like going home for Sunday dinner.  Great food.

Saturday we pack up and catch the Aircoach back to the Dublin Airport to pick up our car rental.  Ended up getting an automatic as it's so much easier but the insurance kills you!  At any rate, we hit the road.

Heading to Galway and then on to a small seaside village called Spiddal for the night.  Driving isn't as bad as I thought.  Since I have been in Ireland before I was a little familiar with driving on the left.  Checked in to our B&B in Spiddal.  Our hosts Mary and Fred are great.  Lovely B&B.

and then went into the village to have supper.

Went to the pub and sat outside.  Had a pint and seafood Alfredo.  It was really good.  This weather is amazing!

Early night.  We'll be heading out early tomorrow heading south to visit Adare.

This display was in the Spar which is a convenience store.  Go figure!  Thought Tim Horton's was Canadian!
Great Irish breakfast cooked by Mary and then we leave the B&B for next stop Adare.
