Williamstown

We get off the boat in Williamstown.

Lovely green spaces as in most cities in Australia.

Most buildings are from the 1870’s.

The Main Street Nelson Place.

This used to be the Customs House built 1874-1875.

The first Hotel...1852.

This was the morgue built 1859 after several publicans objected to inquests being held in the pub.

Lovely homes.

This Citroen is in mint condition.

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church 1871.

The George Hotel built 1888.

This is a minesweeper from WWII.  Normally you could go on it but it’s closed.....you guessed it!  Due to the Coronavirus.  So was the Tourist Information office.  Now we head back to Narre Warren to finish more cancellations.
