Vienna

This morning we wake in Vienna...unfortunately the sun didn't follow us.  

Wien is Vienna in Austrian.  It's cold and raining!  We head out for our tour of this beautiful city.

The weight of the world?

So many beautiful buildings, statues...where to start?

It's like a throw back in time but the Starbucks sign is a give away!

The Lippizaner Stallions are celebrating 450 years in Vienna.

Mozart...will be hearing his music tonight at the concert!

And finally lunch at a nice little restaurant.  We meet the bus and go back to the ship...and the sun comes out!!!  Oh, I wish we had one more day here but we move on tonight after I get back from the concert.

The concert was wonderful.  It takes place at the Palais Auersperg.  Beautiful old concert hall.  I couldn't take pictures during the performance but there were 11 musicians.  They also had two opera singers and two dancers.   I had to pinch myself as I couldn't believe I was in Vienna attending a concert of Mozart and Strauss!
