A beautiful day at Vancouver International Airport. We’re flying British Air.
Had dinner at Salmon and Bannock at the airport. Was really good.
These are water taxis. It will take us from the airport to Venice. It’s about a 40 minute ride. It’s 10 pm and it’s 25 degrees out.
Our first hotel is Ca’Fontanea in Venice. After getting off the water taxi at the Guglio stop we walk to our hotel.
They didn’t mention the stairs we had to go up and down crossing the canals to get to the hotel. Sweating buckets however there were some very nice young people that offered to help.
Having breakfast on the canal just around the corner from our hotel. Great food and service.
The pizza is amazing. We walk the maze of streets looking at shops and restaurants on our way to St. Mark’s Square.
One of the gondoliers making his way down one of the many canals.
Rialto Bridge
St. Mark’s Square
Limon gelato! Perfect on a hot day.
Dinner out at a restaurant called Very Good. It was very good and not far from our place
Tiramisu… wow!
We could justify our dessert when we saw how many steps we did today! 😳
