Day Three in Venice

We have a full day ahead.  Actually had to set the alarm as we are doing a 4.5 hr boat tour including Murano, Burano and Torcello.

We head to Torcello which was the original settlement in Venice.

Then we’re off to visit the last island, the colorful island of Burano

On returning we pass by St. Mark’s Square.

After getting cleaned up we head into town for a gondola ride.

This gondolier was the best.  He sang, pointed out points of interest and took us to the most quiet, peaceful canal in all of Venice.  It was heavenly.

It was then time for Happy Hour so we stopped for Asperol and Limoncello spritz with appetizers.  Yum!  Then off to dinner at another fantastic outdoor restaurant.

We then went to San Vidal Church to Vivaldi’s The Four Season’s Concert which was some good string music.



Then the water taxi home.  Great day.  Off to Ravenna by train tomorrow.
