Cordoba

In the afternoon we go to Cordoba which was founded by the Romans.  It’s located about 2 hours east of Seville.

On the way to Cordoba we pass by olive trees.  Large product of this region.

Grains are also a product of the region.

And oranges.  Mainly used for marmalade.

We arrive in Cordoba.  Lovely narrow streets.

We are visiting the Mezquita de Cordoba.  This is very interesting because it was a mosque and when they conquered the people in the 16 th century instead of destroying the mosque they transformed it into a cathedral.

The double arches and marble pillars are very attractive.

In this part you can definitely see the difference as a Cathedral.

We cross the bridge leaving Cordoba.
