We have landed in Sri Lanka at Hambantota where we decide to get off the ship and take a taxi into the town.

This town is very poor and there really isn’t anything here. The skies open up and it starts to pour. We decide to go back to the ship. Not a very good introduction to Sri Lanka.
We couldn’t find a taxi however this cheerful fellow agrees to take us in his Tuk Tuk. He wasn’t sure where the port was but we eventually found it. He stopped by the local pharmacy where his daughter works so that he could wave to her. He was very proud of her.
