Today we are taking the Panoramic Tour of Phuket. It’s approximately 5 hrs and will take us around the southern half of Phuket Island. We start on the west side which is where the cruise ships come in. It is Pa Tong Beach.

It’s approximately 30 degrees and humid but no rain so that’s good. We go to an old Buddhist temple,
then to a cashew factory, more temples and then shopping!
This lady has to break open the casing of the cashew nut and pull it out. Doing this without breaking the nut is tedious but if the nut breaks it’s not worth as much.
The actual cashew nut is on the bottom of the fruit. There is only one nut per piece of fruit. The fruit is not edible. Makes you understand why cashews are expensive.
In between we saw great scenery and even saw the hotel Novotel that we stayed at back in 2012.
The guide was very informative and everything was great.
We then go back on the ship, eat, drink and wait for our next meal after we leave the port. We then have two days at sea. It’s a long walk out to where we are picked up by the tender and taken back to the ship. They always greet us with cold, wet cloths and cold drinks. Very refreshing when you’re hot and sweaty.
