Last day in Frisco

Today we treat ourselves to breakfast at a restaurant just around the corner from where we are staying.

It’s called Sunday’s.  It’s very good.  Eggs Benedict with chipotle sauce.  Yum!

It’s such a beautiful day we decide to go into San Francisco one more time and walk up Embarcadero.  This is one of the ships at the Maritime Museum

Pier 39 is like a carnival.  So many people out enjoying the good weather.

We decide to go to the National Park Visitor Center.

Yerba Buena Cove was the name of the area before it became San Francisco.

During the Gold Rush there were many ships that were deserted in the bay when the people who arrived on them quickly left to discover gold.  These ships ended up under the new San Francisco when the land was reclaimed.  This museum was really good explaining the beginning of San Francisco.

We catch a trolley back to where we get on BARD to get home.  These green and cream coloured trolleys are the only original trolleys from San Francisco.  All other trolleys were brought from other states.  They have been running non stop since 1947.
