California dreaming

Off to California for a housesit.  I picked Bev up at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and we drove to Seattle.  Long drive. Lots of traffic.  After checking in to our hotel we go in search of dinner.  Nothing close to our hotel but we are told that a few blocks down there are a few restaurants.  Well the blocks are long but we finally find Sharps Steak House.  Great find.  Prime rib that melts in your mouth!

The next morning I receive a text from Connor at Delta Air asking when we’ll be at the airport because he can get us on a flight at 8 am rather than our flight at 9:25 am.  Since the shuttle service was going to get us to the airport at 7 we thought why not?  The flight we get on is like a private plane.  Total of 16 people on the whole plane!  Was lovely.  We got in to San Francisco at 10:00 am.

We figure out the BARD system and hop on the train at the airport.  Takes us to Oakland where we are staying one night before moving into our housesit.

We go in search of lunch but being Sunday there isn’t much open.

We found a wonderful coffee place to rest our weary feet.  We then hop on BARD and go to meet Justin and Lindsay who we are housesitting for and looking after Raggy, their lovely rag doll cat.  The owners are off to New York tomorrow and we move in for a week.  A new neighbourhood to explore!  Getting to know Raggy will be fun.

We then hop back on BARD and find a lovely Indian restaurant.  Wonderful food.  Back at the hotel it’s an early night!
