After two days at sea we arrive in Penang, Malaysia. We have a half day tour which goes around Penang Island. We visit a road side fruit and spice market.
They had fresh nutmeg, cinnamon, coconuts, small bananas, etc. We then head to a butterfly farm which was interesting and finished up at a batik factory.
You can’t actually see the butterflies in my photo but there were hundreds in this area.

It takes a steady hand and a good eye to do this work.
After the tour we head back into town on our own and arrange a Tuk Tuk to take us around.
This is great until the wind picks up and the sky opens up. Thunder, lightening and lots of rain. We are soaked but make it back to the ship.
Our ship sailed at 6 pm. Dinner with a couple from England and one from New Zealand. Early to bed. Another tour tomorrow in Phuket, Thailand.
