This morning we hear the drum calling the monks to prayer at 4 am. We get up at 6 am to watch the monks leave their prayer and meditation to ask for alms down the Main Street. There are many monks and sticky rice is the main food that is given. Marlene and I give them a couple of apples. Can't believe how many people are out to watch this process. Many of these monks have no family or their family is so poor they can't care for them
