What a pretty little town.
Great First Nations art.
Chesterman Beach Here comes our boat that we are going out on today. There will be 9 of us plus our guide, Sam.
Sam is our driver and guide. He was great. He has such a passion for the wild life.
Mother Sea Otter and baby swimming amongst the kelp. We also saw (and heard) three grey whales and three killer whales but didn't get pictures as the fog was too thick. Hearing the whales while surrounded by thick fog was a surreal experience.
This is where we disembark to walk 1.2 km to the hot springs. Trip up was a little rough.
Beautiful walking through the woods to the hot springs. We've got about 2 hrs. And then Sam will pick us up.
That's hot water coming down there. We then climbed down into the pools for a soak. The story of the park.
Sam returns to pick us up. We will take a more sheltered ride back to Tofino.
Lots of bear along the way. They were turning over the rocks looking for crabs to eat.And then we arrive back in Tofino. Most places are closed by nine so we grab a pizza and a couple of beer and eat dinner at Jarmos' house. It was a long, exciting day.
