Tour day goes sideways

Today we get up at 5:30!!!!  Argh!  That is painful but we wanted to leave ourselves time as we had to take the tube to Victoria Station and then find the Victoria Bus Terminal.  Sounded pretty easy?  We were going to go for breakfast after we made sure we were in the right place as our tour was to commence at 07:45.

When we arrive we find the station cordoned off with security ribbon and everybody locked out.  When we talk to a security person they inform us there is a "security issue" and they don't know when it will open.  Lots of people on the street not knowing what to do.  We then find out there was a terrorist bomb at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester last night so they are on high alert.  This is at 07:00 and we finally get underway at just after 10:00!  No breakfast and the tour has to be shortened.  No Windsor Castle :(.

Well we get underway and head out to Stonehenge.  It takes about 2 hours.

Not feeling too chipper but we make the most of it.

We then go to the town of Bath.  This is a beautiful little town and of course known for its famous Roman baths.

Anyone for a dip?

Gorgeous little town.

This young man is in period costume...fits right in!

There were all these colourful umbrellas hanging in the main shopping street.

Then we went on to Lacock where we had a great pub dinner.  They did quite a bit of filming here for Harry Potter.  Just removed the cars and nothing else had to be changed!  Magical place.

Gorgeous old buildings.

Note the place for little boots!  So cute.

The roses were beautiful.
