Summer vacation at Skaha

It's time for our one week at the cabin at Skaha Lake.  There are so many forest fires burning in B.C.  I can only hope that we don't have a lot of smoke.

I've arrived!  It's so peaceful.

Then we went for a BBQ at Dave and Debbie's just down the beach.  Friends of Teeny's parents.  They have an amazing home on the lake.

Such is the life....my floatie doubles as my lawn chair!

Jamie likes to ride his bike everywhere!  Including the boat launch.

Wouldn't be complete without hitting a couple of wineries.  Lake Breeze is a favorite.

And then the smoke moves in.  Luckily not until the day we were leaving.  I headed north to Salmon Arm to visit Anne Marie.  Next day on to Kamoops to see Mary and then home.  Very smokey all the way and now it's in Vancouver too.  When will the fires end?  No sign of any rain anytime soon..😩
