My next adventure....Kauai!

Marlene and I met at Vancouver International Airport at approximately 3 pm on Nov. 15th.  Weather in Vancouver has been fantastic however a little chilly so we are excited about spending 3-1/2 weeks in some beautiful warmth.

We got to Lihue, Kauai about 9:30 pm Hawaii time and picked up our rental car.  It's about a 45 minute drive to Princeville where we will spend one week at the Wyndham Bali Hai Villas.

Our welcome included a lovely flower lei for both of us.  Here we are having coffee and going over the itinerary for the next few days.  We've got to steer clear of those time share presentations...who knows what I could do in a weak moment!

We went to the St. Regis Hotel for Happy Hour.  This hotel used to be called the Princeville Hotel and has changed hands.  Beautiful place.  We enjoyed a drink and watched the sun set behind Bali Hai (remember South Pacific?)

After they discovered I had just had a birthday they celebrated by uncorking a bottle of champagne in this most impressive manner!
