Port Douglas

We fly from Hobart to Sydney and then on to Cairns.  Our flight is delayed by one hour but thankfully we still are met by a driver.  The shuttle we paid for could not wait for us so we have a private car to take us the 60 minutes to Port Douglas.  What a change.  It’s 30 degrees and very humid!

We’re staying at the Port Douglas Retreat.  It’s a great place and it’s just a short walk to town.



The Marina is lovely.



We take a short cruise up the inlet.



These are Mangrove trees.  They actually process the salt water and expel the salt through some of their leaves.



Spotted a crocodile.  There are lots of them but we just spotted this one on this evening.
