Last stop….Fiji

We arrive in Fiji and have our driver Raheel pick us up.  We’re staying in Denarau at the Palms again.

The next day we catch the Bula Bus which is the shuttle between the large resorts.

We spend a few hours at the Sofitel Resort.  It’s really lovely.

Nice beach however everyone is at the pools!

We go for dinner at the Denarau Port.  Indian food tonight.

Another day in Fiji!

End of our trip…heading home..night in Brisbane

We go from Byron Beach back to Brisbane for one night.  We check in at the Kingsford Motel which is where we stayed 3 years ago.

Lots of memories as we head to Brett’s Wharf and catch the ferry into downtown Brisbane.

Again…the trees are amazing!

Resident Iguana?

Blends right in. You can hardly see him.

Sunset

Back at Brett’s Wharf we grab something for dinner.  Off to Fiji tomorrow.

Byron Beach

We leave Noosa on the Greyhound bus.  It travels to Brisbane where we have an hour wait for our next bus to Byron Bay.  We get an Uber to our hotel and then discover it’s about 2 blocks away!

A section of Byron Beach.  Beautiful.

The Main Street, Jonson Street.

Totally relaxed at the Fundies Organics Cafe.

Live music at the beach.

Solar powered train.  Just travels a short distance to an area where merchants set up shops to escape expensive rents.

The pool at our hotel.

This section of beach can be used for off leash dogs.  It’s a bit more protected so good for learning to surf.  It’s our last morning.  Off to Brisbane.

Last day in Noosa

This morning we are up early to go for a walk in the National Park on the Coastal Trail.  We want to go early when it’s cool out.

Prior to reaching the National Park we pass a main beach.  It’s a stunning beach.

The boardwalk is so well done.  Makes it easy to walk.  So many lovely Eucalyptus and Tea Trees.

Waiting for a wave.

We spotted this little Kookaburra. There is a warning that they may swoop down on you if they think there is food.

My famous foot shot!  Could have stayed there all day.

After we return home from our walk we go out again to Noosa Junction where we are being picked up for an afternoon tour to the Everglades.  We walk past some very nice homes.

This is our ‘Everglades Cruiser’

Water lilies.

The very still waters make for beautiful reflections.  There are no crocodiles here,  The water is too cool.

The reflection on the water is beautiful.  There had been a Koala spotted prior to our arrival but we didn’t get to see him.

We return back to Noosa and catch the last of the sunset.  Gorgeous!
