Touring Vancouver Island

Pauline Eade is visiting from Sydney, Australia.  I was showing her around Vancouver and then we went to Vancouver Island for a few days.

We started at Butchart Gardens. Such a lovely place and the weather cooperated.

Lunch in Sidney with Paul and Joan who are friends of Pauline’s who she met while on a cruise in Fiji.  Lovely couple.

We drove up to Cowichan Bay to explore the Kinsol Trestle.

Went for lunch in Cowichan Bay, explored Mills Bay and drove to Duncan before heading back to the ferry terminal.

Smooth waters on the way home.  Lovely evening.  Pauline is headed to Anchorage, Alaska for the cruise down the coast back to Vancouver.

Last day then home again, home again!

After returning from Hydra on the fast ferry we try to squeeze just a bit more in.  Unfortunately I never got a chance to return to the library and university for pictures.

We explore the site of Hadrian’s Library. (407-412 BC)

Then we explore the site of the ancient Agora.

A model depicting what it looked like back in the day.

Our last meal in Paris. We fly out tomorrow.

Our chariot awaits in Amsterdam.  Home again, home again, jiggity jig!
