We started our weekend by stopping at Park Royal for a little retail therapy. Bought a couple of tops then we’re on our way. Drove the lower route to Horseshoe Bay where we stopped for lunch at Trolls. Fish n’chips. The sun is out and it’s beautiful out.
We stop at Shannon Falls and do the short walk in to see the falls.
We then decide to stop at the Sea to Sky gondola. It’s $53.00 (senior’s rate)!
Great view looking towards Squamish.
The wine was cold and the views amazing. It’s worth it.
Walking the suspension bridge fortified with wine to help!
Looking back at the patio.
Glorious!
The next day we walk to the Farmer’s Market.
Lots of colourful produce.
And yummy bread. There was a long line for this vendor. Sue and I buy peaches from the Okanagan and some spices then head out.
We stop at Alice Lake
It’s raining and a little cold so we don’t stay. There were some kids in the water but it must have been freezing!
Then we arrive at Whistler and go to the Audain Museum. What a beautiful building.
A beautiful piece with a clear message.
More messages about clear cut logging.
Monet’s Garden.
We walk around the Whistler Village and have lunch then head back to Squamish.
We check out the next day but have breakfast n town and then walk down by the estuary. So quiet and picturesque. It’s turning into another nice day so we head back. Along the way we stop in West Vancouver to see our old childhood home on Benbow. Memories!
