Landon's 6th birthday

Spent time with Landon and Harper after giving Landon his birthday present.  It was a kit to make a mobile of the planets in our solar system and a book to learn about space.

Skillfully painting the planets.

Trying to speed up the drying process.

The finished product hanging in Landon's room. Pretty cool!

Concerts in White Rock

There are free concerts happening in White Rock.  Now that I live here I can just walk to them.  What a gorgeous venue!  I just love it.

On July 6th we listened to Chilliwack.  They were so good and this was right down by the beach at the White Rock pier.

Then tonight we listened to R&B Allstars.  Could they entertain!  This took place at Five Corners after the Tour de White Rock.

Tour de White Rock.

All ready to go!

And they're off!

My grandsons Landon and Harper waiting for the cyclists so they can cheer them on.

It's such a beautiful place to live.  We went for a walk through the Sunnyside Urban forest.  I am so lucky to live here!

Trip to Saltspring Island

Off to Saltspring Island to visit Richard and Susan.  Have to see their new home.

Leaving Tsawassen Terminal.  Gorgeous day.  So busy.  First attempt to catch ferry was foiled because there was no where to park my car.  I was going as foot passenger and the lot was full!  Had to drive home, park my car and take the bus.  Finally made it by 5:30 by going via Victoria.

Coming to Saltspring.

I've arrived and am welcomed with a glass of wine.  Susan, Yvonne and Ernie pick me up at the harbour.

What a view from the deck...so quiet and peaceful. So many birds and deer.

Right by the house!

The next day we're off to the winery for a picnic.

The lavender's in bloom...

What a great venue...so picturesque and complete with live music.

What a spread!  Delicious!

Ernie and Yvonne..

What a great afternoon!

Girls just want to have fun???

Good bye Saltspring....until we meet again!

Weekend up the Arm..

Kathy and I head off on a Saturday afternoon to motor up the Indian Arm from Deep Cove.  Kathy's got the boat all ready.  It's called the Moondancer.  We push off and slowly go out of the cove.  The weather is beautiful and the water is like glass.

We ended up with a great place at the outstation. We had a lovely view out the back and that night the stars were amazing!  We barbecued steak and the wine flowed very freely.

The next day all the sail boats left which freed up a lot of space.  There had been a regatta the day before so when we arrived there was hardly any space to tie up.

A beautiful spot.

Resting up before heading back to Deep Cove.  Wonderful weekend.
