Off to Kelowna

Sue and I head off to Kelowna on Good Friday to attend the Celebration of Life for my Uncle Peter.

We drive the Hope Princeton hoping to avoid snow.  The roads were clear but it was snowing along the way.  Really?  It's April!!!

Arriving in Kelowna the weather improves.  Sunny skies but still cool.  It's so pretty looking out on Okanagan Lake.

This is the original St. Andrew's church.  Over 100 years old.  It is behind this church that Uncle Peter's ashes will be interred in the cemetery.

Beautiful interior.

This is the new church.

Uncle Peter lived a very full life and was 101 when he passed.  A large number of people attended and it was a great opportunity to connect with our cousins who we hadn't seen for years.

Beautiful place to have the reception.  Uncle Peter would have loved to tip a glass with us.  He and dad were "bad boys". When they got together they loved their drink, cars and appreciation of good looking women!  What a pair.

Perhaps dad and Uncle Peter are have a few and looking down on us!

Beautiful weather for a Sunday stroll

Lucille and I met by Canada Place on this beautiful Sunday and walked the shoreline in to Stanley Park.

Canada Place in the distance....gorgeous day.

The cherry blossoms are finally opening.

Heading off to Lumberman's Arch.

Part of the Stanley Park sea wall walkway.

Cute boathouse.

And a gorgeous sunrise the next morning.
