Jamie turns one!

It's amazing how quickly time goes by.  It seems like yesterday this little person came into our world.  Jamie turned one today and we celebrated with some yummy birthday cake!

The Leprechaun in me!

While at work on St. Paddy's day they handed out hats to wear.  I was already wearing green but decided to complete my ensemble!  Good thing we're not open to the public.....just sayin'!

Girls just want to have fun! and we did...

Last weekend the girls got together.  Jan and Marg came over from Vancouver Island and we all met at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in downtown Vancouver.  It was so great catching up.  We realized that we have known each other for 45 years!  Lots of great memories.

Off to Carderos Restaurant on the water for dinner.   Martinis, wine and of course dinner was enjoyed by all.  After dinner they had some great music in the lounge.  70's hits....they must have known we were coming!

Kathy and I....long time buddies.  Oh the stories we can tell!

They saved the day.....or at least the nearby condos!

Paul attended his first big fire in White Rock.  This was a very significant fire that destroyed a business. The White Rock fire department were praised for their work in keeping the fire contained and preventing further loss of homes in the area. Paul was actually sent into the burning structure with another fire fighter but had to back out of the structure due to the extreme heat.  Paul had already worked all night and was about to go off shift when the alarm came in.  He ended up working 20 hours that day.  Kudos to our firefighters.  They work very hard.

That's my boy!

and he flashed me his badge!

While visiting my son and grandsons, Paul reached into his pocket.....he pulled out his wallet....and flashed me his badge!  Paul has completed his probationary period as a White Rock Firefighter and has received his official Firefighting badge.....#37.  It somehow makes it so real....so proud!

This was graduation day from the Justice Institute...it was a long haul but worth it in the end!
