Nana time!

Looking after one of my grandsons one day a week while mom has gone back to work.  It's a great experience and a wonderful opportunity to really get to know this little man.  He's so sweet.

Academy Awards night

On Sunday night Kathy, Sue and I enjoyed watching the Academy Awards at Sue's.  Sue bought us all a red boa which we wore while sipping our wine and admiring the gowns worn by some of the 'beautiful people'.  It was fun even though the movie we were routing for didn't win!

Valentine's Day on the Island

On Friday 13th I spent a lovely couple of hours with Paul, Landon and Harper at Crescent Beach.  The weather was starting to look promising for the weekend and Landon had a good time throwing stones into the ocean.

I then headed to the ferry to go to Vancouver Island and visit Bev in Victoria.  We always have a great time.  So much to talk about and catch up on.  

We woke to a lovely sunny day on Saturday and decided to go to the Shine Cafe for brunch.  So good!  We then walked downtown.

Cherry blossoms were out.  The Parliament Buildings always look impressive.

After a lovely walk around the harbour we rewarded ourselves dinner out at our favorite pizza place in Cook Village.  

Took the bus back as we were tired from all that walking.  What a perfect day!
